From Israel

We landed on time in Israel. A first stop at Independence Hall brought us to the very place David Ben Gurion proclaimed a Jewish homeland on May 14, 1948. We heard the recorded voice and signed our own declaration as members of Beth Israel pledged to Israel's future and the future of our people. Followed by Israeli fare and free time along the Mediterranean Sea in Tel Aviv, we're ready for a full week ahead.

Shalom from Israel.  - Rabbi David Lyon

This is absolutely WONDERFUL - your ability to keep the Beth Israel family up to date on your travels. Our hopes and wishes is for each of you to make this visit one of the most positively memorable events in not only your lives, but, our lives also.
Thank you so very much for establishing this blog to keep us up to date with folks we care very much for.

  2. Larry & I are thrilled to be able to follow along with you as you make this fabulous journey. Because Larry & I have neither one had the opportunity to visit Israel, we look forward to each installment of the blog.

We ask that when you reach the Wailing Wall you remeber us in prayer until we, too, are able to stand before it and give thanks for all we are blessed with.

    Shalom,
    Nancy Berkman
